Meet Michael

South Jersey born and raised, Michael has spent more than 15 years doing one thing: growing great oysters.

With a Master’s in Marine Science and years of hands-on experience in the shellfish industry, Michael has worked on oyster farms from the Puget Sound to the Long Island Sound and, of course, the Jersey Shore.

Along the way, he’s managed oyster growing operations for one of the country’s largest seafood distributors, gaining experience at every level of the business. That experience has taught Michael that great oysters start with the right water. He knows how to identify prime oyster-growing locations—places where clean, healthy waters and the right environmental conditions allow oysters to thrive.

But for Michael, oyster farming has always been about more than producing shellfish. It’s about understanding the water, respecting the environment, and taking the time to grow an oyster worth eating.

Today, he’s bringing all of that experience home to South Jersey—growing oysters in the waters he knows and loves.
